About Me

I'm one of those lucky people who struggled to control my weight all of my life.  I grew up in a household where nutrition was unheard of.  I tried every diet on the books.  I've struggled with eating-disorders.  And in March of 2011, I decided enough was enough.  On March 1st, I jumped into the Primal way of life head-first.  I purged my apartment of all non-Primal foods, I started exercising in a Grok-like manner, and I started eating whole foods.  The transition changed my life.  I am a much happier and healthier person now.

I am only human, though.

Sometimes, I still struggle to stick to the Primal WOE.  I started this blog for those of us who just aren't perfect all of the time.  Whether you've been Primal for a day, a year, or 5 years, it doesn't matter.  Sometimes, we fall victim to temptation.  And it's good to know that there other imperfect people in the world, too.

I also happen to have Binge Eating Disorder, which has a great impact on my life, especially with my relationship with food.  I refer to my BED as the Beast, as it's something I'm always struggling with.  Since it's such a huge part of my life, I mention it a lt in the blog.

This blog, while Primal-focused, will also have posts related to BED and just the regular ol' antics of a 20-something trying to figure out her life!  It's my hope that you can find something here that you can relate to.
